'File spliter' freeware update - 1.0.1.6

And a new update to 'File Splitter', up to version 1.0.1.6.
Some improvements to last changes, and correction of a bug that krept in last version and that would cause a Windows exception and create a faulty 're-assembling' executable if you had the option to 'save last save path' and didn't re-choose the path to save on next use! 
The old method of reassembling partial files by using a DOS batch file is back, so there is a new option in preferences to choose between either methods: the new 're-assembling executable' or the older 'dos batch file' one - if you don't know what this means, just use the default method, ok?
Also, when re-assembling the partial files together, the program now shows a progress bar - this was kind of hard to do, as everything is done using Windows API calls so that the executable's file size wouldn't grow larger. 
And you may now also change the 'byte format' when using the 'custom size' choosing box, something that was missing and that could be kind of annoying if you used it a lot.
Most of those changes have been suggested by our good user tDJ, so thank you for your suggestions!

There is a new update to 'File Splitter' available, with version 1.0.1.4.
Just a 'simple' update, to ditch the INI file that was created to re-assemble the partial files together again. It's not needed anymore, so there is one file less to carry with the partial splited files.

After a couple more updates, 'Wav player' is now at version 1.1.0.7
A few bugs - introduced on last changes - have been ironed out, a new option to mute video files, zoom movies to full screen view, sort files by name or date and set playing file's position (like fast forward or rewind).

And again, 'Wav player', our little multimedia player, has been updated, to version 1.1.0.4
And the new changes and improvements are:
• Program's window is now fully resizable, to show those long file names easily
• New 'slow motion' option for movies - not for avi's yet.
• Able to save individual avi movie frames to disk as jpg files.
• Shows the movie 'frame rate' - just for show.. And how much time left to finish on the window's caption.

And the multimedia player, 'Wav player', has been updated again, to version 1.1.0.2
A lot of changes on those few past updates, among which are:
• New window for playing movies, like mpg and avi, with optional progress bar and a few options - just right-click on it to pop up the menu, left click to close window.
• The playback position of the movie on the playing window can be changed manually, by dragging the mouse over the 'progress bar' at will.
• Saves and remembers positions of both windows, zooms in and out on movie playing.
• Kiosk mode has the playback window centered and without caption and menu.
• And a few more internal changes to the code, improving it a bit more...
So, this new version is available to download from the freeware webpage. |
