'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.5.0
|
After a couple of smaller updates - not announced here.. - 'Web Downloader' has been updated again, to version 1.0.5.0
Thanks to user tDJ, for suggesting that the software could also get the date and time for files added - so now it does. Also, a few more smaller improvements, and a couple of old bugs that I only discovered today were corrected - hope no new ones were introduced in the process 
Just a note: this new version is not compatible with older versions - this just means you should download all pending downloads (if any) with your older version before replacing it by this one.
And this new download is available, as always, from our freeware web page. |

A few more freeware updates

Not much updates lately, but the webpage is still very much alive, at least noting from the already above 3.5 Gb of bandwidth spent last month !! 
Anyway, and although feedback from users has been rather scarce -to say the least - there have been a few small upgrades, namely: - Porta'Menu - up to version 0.1.4.4
- ToDo list - up to version 1.1.1.0
- Watch - up to version 1.1.3.1
- Web Downloader - up to version 1.0.4.10

A new freeware release - Favorite Tree 0.1.4.0
|
There is a new freeware available to download from our webpage. This time, we have published an Internet Explorer 'Favorites' manager.
You know, 'favorites' are those links you keep and that usually grow to so many that they get out of control  This is when you feel the need for a software like this one!
This software loads all 'favorites' automatically from it's folder, lets you check all links - or one at a time - for existence, and marks not existing links as such. Allows you also to rename a 'favorite' (link) name and properties making all changes permanent.
And, of course, you can also open a webpage from a link directly from this software into Internet Explorer.
This is freeware, so if you would like to see this software being improved, just send your suggestions, questions, etc.

'Watch' freeware update - 1.1.3.0
|
'Watch' freeware has been updated to version 1.1.3.0.
With the addition of a configuration panel option, to let each user use the font type and size he/she wants, font colour and background. Colour was easy, fonts were not so, but anyway...

Couldn't let this pass unnoticed

I can't begging to tell you all how happy I am to have received a message from one of the visitors to our webpage! And why - I hear you asking? Not so uncommon, is it?
Well, but this is too important to let pass unnoticed, as Allan W (won't print his full name) was kind to let me know that he has found his 'true half' in our penfriends webpage and.. got married by the end of last year, and is very happy now, so this really is a reason to celebrate.
So, I wish both all the happiness in the world, and that you may be as lucky and happy with each other as I am - I have been married now for 25 years and wish for as many more, at least
It is good to know that this small webxpace.net was able to create a bit of happiness. If nothing else, and on a personal note, I really feel that this alone is enough to make it worthwhile to have created the webpage! And this is already the second time someone finds a true friend - hopefully for life - at this webpage |

'Agenda' freeware update - 1.0.1.10
|
After a couple of updates - not posted here as they were smaller corrections - 'Agenda' freeware has been updated again, to version 1.0.1.10.
The main change this time is with phone dialing, since now we have 3 possible phones on each contact, and now the user has the open to choose which one he/she wants to dial if the contact has more than one possibility in it. A dialog box will show with a drop-dow box listing all phone numbers availabe.
So, you can download this new version from the freeware page. Keep sending your suggestions and comments, and I will try to keep improving those utilities, ok? |

A new freeware release - Porta'Menu 0.1.4.0
|
We decided to release our own menu launcher, after all. This was a small launcher menu that was created ages ago, for an older version of windows and that has now been reborn, as a portable device launch menu that I use with my USB pen, when relative paths were introduced in another freeware.
It's name 'porta' means 'door' in Portuguese, and has been kept as it also suggests 'portable' but it's just an happy coincidence
It allows you to keep a list of programs - on your disk or any fixed or portable device - to be launched easily from it's menu. And you can order all items by any order you desire, and create separate groups for ordering programs - like 'internet, 'utils', etc...
Has a simple 'hash' control when it starts, for safety, controlling all items in it's menu for changes and/or tampering since last use, effectively making it safer against virus, spyware and the like.
You may define a few options for each separate item, like 'command line' options, icon, and a few other.
It is real small, self contained, and doesn't need installing. Just copy the executable anywere you like, and start using it.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.6.0
|
'File renamer' freeware has a new update available again.
Now, there is a new button on the top left of the window, that will let you search all folders for files, starting from a user defined path, recursively or not, for all files or only for files of certain types, and add all found files directly to Renamer's window, ready to be renamed.
This is useful, if you have lots of files scattered all over your hard disk and want to find those fast to rename them..
