post your requests, ideas, suggestions and..  let's talk!

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.1.2.4
'Web Downloader' the freeware internet download manager, has now been updated to version 1.1.2.4.

A now option on the information dialog that shows up the first time you run it and while you still didn't add the option to allow drag'n'drop of links directly from the web browser to the software's interface to disable it showing in the future if you really don't want to use this feature. Although I don't understand why you wouldn't, as the drag'n'drop of links directly to Web Downloader makes it so much more able and efficient smile

Also, all the dialogs that used to show inside the software window for adding, editing, seting preferences, filters and all that, have now been changed to proper dialog windows, exactly as they should always have been in the first place.. no more 'complaining' that this software didn't look like a a full Windows application wink

And, of course, this and all other freeware can be downloaded directly from the freeware webpage, as always.

'File Renamer' freeware update - 1.2.2.3
'File renamer' freeware continues being updated all the time, and is now at version 1.2.2.3

Version 1.2.2.2 introduced the Win 64 bit Explorer's context menu, long due, but difficult to accomplish with free tools, as Delphi is still only 32bit. I had to use the Free Pascal Lazarus Pascal 64 bit version to compile a brand new DLL to make it work.

As you all know, File renamer always had the possibility to add a new context menu to Windows file explorer, to ease the sending of all files/folders to it's application window for easier renaming. Now it works on both 32 and 64 bit. There is also the possibility of only creating a SendTo extension if you prefer.

On version 1.2.2.3 a correction to a bug was also done.. In fact, the new modification to the 'script creator' left all older scripts non-usable because a conversion routine was not added to the freeware wassat Sorry for that, but again thanks to our long user Kraus that brought it to my attention, this new version now dully corrects this omission.

And, as always, all new versions can be freely downloaded from the freeware webpage. It's FREE, folks! Just go there and use it.

FREE software? Yes, it is!
Everything on the freeware webpage has always been free and it will be kept like this. Nevertheless, downloads are now well above 200 Mb per day,
and it is costing a bit to maintain it...

So if you want to help support this freeware page and if you like using the freeware available and want to see it get improved, as it has been often, just go to the donations page and.. well, you know what it is for... smile

There is a very nice article, by the way, that you can check regarding FREE software and what most people usually think - not correctly - it is...

And, of course, keep sending me feedback on all the programs, your suggestions and opinions, what you would like to see modified or improved - and a few donations to help keep all this going wink - as hearing from you is what really helps me keep motivated to further develop those utility programs making them better to everyone.

'ToDo Reminder' freeware update - 1.1.7.1
'ToDo Reminder' freeware continues being updated all the time, and is now at version 1.1.7.1

Appart from the bug corrected (see notice bellow), a lot of changes were also made to this freeware utility and it is now a couple versions above the last information here on this blog. Goes to show that development never stops, although information here might be skiped once in a while... Time is scarce, you know...

Some of the changes made to ToDo Reminder where to allow input forms to be resizable - requested by some users. Also, main form now has an option to be semi-transparent if you, like me, want it to show what's behind it when being loaded all the time on your desktop. And a few more smaller things were introduced.

New download available at the freeware page as always...

'File Renamer' freeware update - 1.2.2.0
'File renamer' freeware continues being updated all the time, and is now at version 1.2.2.0

Appart from the bug corrected (see notice bellow), a lot of changes were also made to the File Renamer freeware, keeping it evolving well after 12 years of development already:

- Remembers last used renaming options between uses.

- Preferences window as been rearranged as it really was too small.

- A new main Menu has been added to the application, as well as a new option to hide or show it, for users that preffer not to have it - always caring for all options smile

- Time change options were not using the user's computer date and time format, now it is.

- The 'script creator' has been slightly improved too, and now evry option can be used with it too.

And a few other minor corrections. And if you want some change or improvemento to it, don't hesitate in leting me know. As always, I will introduce it as soon as I can, improving this freeware for all of us smile

'Pic Viewer' freeware update - 1.0.2.1
And another quick update to 'Pic Viewer' (and editor) freeware is here, with a few more improvements and corrections:

The 'fit image to window' now works also with the viewer in normal window mode (and not only with full screen one).

Command line now accepts either a path with a filename to show or a path by itself to open the viewer on that path folder and wait. Also, if a file name is in the command line, it will only show it on opening if the 'hide file on starting' option is not set, otherwise it'll open the software and select the filename and stop there.

And the top edit/combobox that shows current path - or lets the user input a new one to move to - and saves used paths history is now working. Yes, it was supposed to, but it wasn't... I wonder how I missed this... wassat Thanks go to Michael Bayley again, for pointing this to me and for the other suggestions also present on this update.

So.. go and download this new version from the freeware page and just replace the old executable with this new one.
