'ToDo Reminder' freeware update - 1.1.6.1

'ToDo Reminder' freeware has been updated a couple of times again and is now at version 1.1.6.1.
The database type has been converted from the old ini (text) type to a faster (stream) one, more useful and that permited a lot of new improvements, as well as faster and more precise saving, loading and editing. Limits on note's size are gone now, so you can have a note has long as you want for each task also. Sorting routines have been improved, and menus for sorting at will have also been added. Some more not so evident internal improvements have beem made, like correcting some bugs  and adding preferences to the 'archive' window, among other things.

New update to 'Date Reminder' freeware up to version 1.1.2.0.

And also 'Date Reminder' freeware has also been updated to version 1.1.1.4, again after a lot of updates that were not shown here, on the blog - sorry..
Thanks to Dennis for caring to send some suggestions that were also used on the 'ToDo Reminder' freeware.
Changes on this last version are the ability to define diferent text color for each line, along with the introdution of 'categories' to help you better group the notes as per your choice. Also, copying to Clipboard is now working and this allows you to copy all data to Windows clipboard, already formated and ready to be pasted, for instance, in Excel or any other place you wish, for that matter
Date Reminder window can now be resized horizontaly - also requested by some users - and the software minimizes to Windows tray correctly again as it used to do in the past, before the last versions of Windows came...

|
'ToDo Reminder' freeware has had a few more updates and is now at version 1.1.5.4.
Improvements are, among other smaller things, the ability to define text color diferentiating each and every line task, a new preference to define default 'time' to considering when adding new tasks - requested by some users - and a few more things. Note Pane - the one that shows you the note text of each task - was not scrolling correctly and long notes would not show in full, but this is now corrected also.

And 'Image Downloader' freeware has been updated again, up to version 1.1.1.4
A few bugs were 'introduced' with last update and there is a new routine to un-escape characters withing the url link shown in the freeware's list, for better clarity.

Last version was giving some error messages, so a few (more like a lot) of changes to the source code were needed and here you have the final product, revised and improved. And, of course, FREE

And as we are at it, just a small notice with a couple of links from 3rd party sites that test and make sure our freeware is secure to install and use. 'File renamer' freeware continues being updated thanks to the suggestions and alerts from users, and is now version 1.2.1.5
A few minor bugs were corrected, the interface default size got a little larger and, among other things, a new icon is being used - other one was quite old, time for a change
This freeware has been around for more than 10 years now, always evolving, always changing acording to user's requests and suggestions, and with me behind it all the time.
So.. just download it from the freeware page as usual and check for yourself what may well be one of the best File Renamer's around - hey.. again not my words, just quoting users.. |
